The Junior Earth Science Scholars and Pebble Pups meet the first Tuesday of each month at the East Library, 5550 N. Union Blvd, Rm F1, in Colorado Springs (check the Calendar for room changes.) The Pebble Pups program is open to children from kindergarten through fifth grade. Junior Earth Science Scholars is open to pre-teens and teens from the 6th grade through 12th grade. Pebble Pups and Junior Earth Science Scholars are currently meeting at the same time. Lessons are age appropriate and mentoring is available.
A series of fun field trips are organized exclusively for the Junior Earth Science Scholars and Pebble Pups! Field trips are planned for some really cool places where everything from crystals to minerals to fossils can be collected! Pebble Pups and Junior Earth Science Scholars field trips will be announced at club meetings, in the club newsletter, and on the Pebble Pups / Junior Earth Science Scholars Facebook page.

The Pebble Pups / Junior Earth Science Scholars field trips requires a membership in the Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society. A link to the membership application is available at the bottom of the Join page. Trips open to children/teens from other clubs, such as the Lake George Gem and Mineral Club and the Western Interior Paleontology Society, should be members of those organizations.
- Pebble Pups / Junior Earth Science Scholar trips are open to all children enrolled in at least one of the above mentioned clubs.
- Pebble Pups MUST bring at least one parent to all activities.
